What a surprise Ronnie has withdrawn after a few matches, I don't want to dwell on that but the ramifications of it.
The rules are that any matches Ronnie played are null and void, so all the players lose their points but Mark Selby made a 130 odd break against him and that stands, why is that? So a match that has been wiped from the records as if it never happened has a high break in it.
Also Rob Milkins beat Ronnie and Jack Jones lost to him but they are now both still on zero points, that's not fair either.
To top it off Milkins is playing now and doesn't know he's lost his points.

Really think world snooker need to grow a spine and finally ban O'Sullivan for these continuous incidents which frankly are ruining the game.

If anyone hasn't seen, he really threw his toys out of the pram today. Smashed his cue off the cushion after missing a pink from the black spot. In the same match against Milkins he missed another pot and subsequently flicked his cue again off the table. The shot after he just smashed the cueball into the pack of reds.
In the match against Jak Jones he played a poor positional shot and kicked his foot against the table. It was the worst sportsmanship I've seen from him in his career to date. The older he gets the worse his behaviour simply because he's never been brought to book and been continually allowed to get away with it.

Not even mentioning the recent pull outs of events right on the day of the match, disrespecting his opponent and the fans who are kept in the dark, unsure if he'll play. No other player gets away with this level of disrespect to the game and the governing body, so questions need to be asked why?

Doesn't seem right to me, but I probably need to read the rules properly on this to have a better opinion. At the end of the day, imo results are results and things should stand as they are, I mean god forbid but what what happens if somebody dies or are taken ill??? That match didn't happen either then.....

I won't bother getting into what should be done regarding Ronnie's bad etiquette as their are higher powers who should be managing that, I will however agree that it's wrong.

I try and give Ronnie some slack, there is a very fine line between madness and genius and a lot of gifted, driven people straddle it at best.
Having said that, I don't mind him not playing in any tournament, that's up to him but the last minute decisions are a tough one. Tickets will definitely have been sold on the back of him appearing so thats not fair. Its also curious that hes never ill, mentally or physically when the high prize tournaments are held in China or Saudi but im sure that's just a coincidence.
His behaviour in the matches you mentioned above should definitely get a fine, while I understand his frustration at not being able to play the way he used to, you can't behave like that.
I wouldn't be surprised if he basically retired this year, or next, I can't see him being willing to fight to stay in the top sixteen if he starts dropping down and there's no way hes going to qualifiers.
Apparently that cue is in the bin, I reckon he damaged it when he whacked the table.

Doesn't sound like Rons cue is in a great state either, ended up in a bin after walloping it against the rail on the table playing Milkins. I think this whole experience he's going through will either make him or break him... I still hope there's a final swan song that is befitting the man's talent.
