Can't see a way back for John now in terms of winning a big one again, too many scars in the grey matter. Soon as he missed that red over the middle, the wounds were open and sore.

Now that is the way I prefer to watch Neil Robertson
what a match, sad for Higgins though - could be his last Masters... (hope not)
      Up the TSF! :snooker:

And that one certainly won't help. It's like the death of a thousand cuts.

Only Willo left in the class of 92 it would seem with any real resolve, which happily comes to him with his brilliant cavalier attitude towards most things in life it seems. Long may that continue as he's great to watch.

Agree with Dean comment above, that's the only way Robbo should be approaching the game at this stage in his career! He's proved he can still play like that at pace and should be his MO, win or lose imo.

After the Higgins match today, if Ronnie's sees any of that outcome, I can't help feeling sure he will be thinking, no! Enough is enough I'm not going down that road!

I think he will continue privately in the process he's undertaken with Lee Walker, and if we don't see him at the WC those year..... That will be it. Hopefully with a wave & a smile if that's the case. πŸ™

Yes, it is. I don’t like change, especially when it comes to snooker, so the first thing I look for with the BBC tournies is that all the β€˜family’ are present; Hazel, Steve and John in the studio, Rob MC-ing, and either DT or JV in the comms. I even got a warm buzz when I saw Jan was refereeing the opening match. I’d love both DT and JV to be present, but it seems that for the last two or three years DT gets the Masters and JV gets the World’s. Or were they both present back in April? I forget now. Maybe it’s the UK’s JV does.

"Kryten, isn't it round about this time of year that your head goes back to the lab for retuning?"

It’s a very noisy environment, as in backstage bangs and knocks. It’s the Master’s always this noisy?

They use a smaller team at UK and Masters - hence side-lining one of either Dennis or JV for one of them it varies by year - this time JV got the UK and Dennis the Masters - both will appear at the Worlds.

                      In a word Billy, yes.

I went 2 years ago and it’s unbelievably vocal and noisy and there’s stuff going on around the arena that brings extra bangs and noise etc.

This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

Yep that does it every time! Whereas Gary’s pre match talk was great. Such a nice lad, I really feel for him because he’s very talented but talks about his game the same way I do about mine, but he’s a millions times better.

horrible to have some talent but never know when it’s gonna bite you or facilitate you.

is there a more frustrating game to play?!?!?!

Loved Steve Davis rubbing that in while sat next to Mark Allen in the studio 😘

Not a nice match to be watching this afternoon, in as much as I dearly want them both to go through.

The sound from Mark Williams tip is starting to drive me mad.
