Re Mark Williams. He really needs to pop along to an Opticians and get his eyes tested. It might be some other problem like cataracts but an eye test is what he needs.

Yes could well be. An eye test would detect the early signs. Diabetes is so common now. Mind you Mark wears glasses off the table so he must have had his eyes tested. Unless like others he’s been to Poundland and bought a pair of +1’s lol.

Yes Nifty, I would say Guodong lost it rather than Higgins won it. It all seemed to go wrong for him after he declared a foul on himself while cueing over the reds, he seemed to lose his composure after that. He had multiple chances to get it over the line but couldn't. Higgins' long game was patchy, think he will need to be on his game to get past Trump this evening.

No doubt the match tonight will be spoiled by Yates' constant factoids and Hendon complaining when a frame becomes scrappy. They both show how little they know when there's a 147 because it's always the same routine - they mention a maximum being on around the 4th or 5th black and then go silent until the final few pots. An AI commentator with a robotic voice would do a better job than them two and be more entertaining. I don't wish to sound like I'm moaning but Yates is killing the atmosphere in every match he commentates on and given all the criticism he has online I don't understand why he's still rostered so much.

I don't mind Dave Hendon, but Yates does our head in so sometimes turn the sound off when he is commentating.
