Well done Higgo. Can retire now. Unlucky Mark. Not like him to weaken over the last few frames.

Didn't see anything on Google about him retiring.

Why would someone near relatively assured of north of a quarter of a million pound prize money every year over the next ten years want to retire ?

So John takes it with a total clearance, brilliant, and what a match, it had just about everything. Think it's fair to say JH had a good dollop of running throughout, but it was his bottle that got him over the line in the end. The punched red into the green middle pocket in the final frame, he's had some grief from that pocket over the last few years, but he managed to keep the demons at bay at a crucial moment.
Not a fantastic tournament overall, but the final made up for it in spades, for me anyway.

Because it’s not always about the money. He’s been talking about it for a while. It’s a chance to enjoy his wealth with the family. I retired early when I had at least another 10 years in a well paid job. Great decision. Gave me bags of time to concentrate on my snooker and other hobbies.

                Ok can't see it though.

Hendon kept spouting retirement lines 20 years ago about the c of 92 then covering airtime, he extracted it from nowhere and it obviously didn't age well.

Yep some of these top stars are hooked on the buzz. Just can’t give it up. Rod Stewart still strutting his stuff at 80 and squeezing himself into those tight pants lol.

Saw Rod Stewart on a stream in the stand at Celtic Park vs Club Brugge last november, always thought he was probably Rangers, don't know why.

He was brought up on Archway Road, thats very near me.

"You're Celtic, United, but baby I've decided
You're the best team, I've ever seen"
