I'm not really an Allen or Trump fan, but nice to see Trump getting what he deserved in the decider after taking on that ludicrous plant.

Indeed....he acts like a spoiled brat....expecting to win every match and make any shot, and he looks surprised when the opponent plays better. Trying to patronize the other players will do him no good.

it isnt the PTCs where he has been hitting them this season he hit a lot of them at the championship league

Last season's World Open was much more better in every aspect. Also, is moving the event to China and making it back-to-back events in the country best move, really? I'm not so sure. From a marketing perspective, I would say, a longer cushion between hose two events would make it more successful. And as the event's name suggests, why not just move it across the world each season? It's in China, this season. Wouldn't it be good if they played in, let's say, Belgium, next season and so on? Isn't this a feasible plan for this event?
Chinese events back to back is financial both for the players and for the WPBSA why flyi out to China fly back then fly out again? its simple logistics

Another boring whitewash, Higgins 5 - 0 against Cope. Don't know why they didn't choose to show the Robertson v Lee match, it was always going to be more interesting than that. Still, Long v Milkins has been quite interesting.

                      • It was the familiar uninspired performance from Cope. But Higgins did play quite well, back to his usual quiet progression through tournaments it seems. Looking at the way his draw has opened up, he might reach the final now.

A decent Higgins will definitely make it to the final from now on. We'll see : )

                          • And what a performance by Stephen Lee. He is now getting to the latter stages of the tournaments with consistency. Nice to see him recover his touch.

                              • Chuffed for Allen! Good win today, outrageous plant what Judd went for in the decider. Couldn't believe he took that on but he got punished...
