It will be interesting to see how he responds now when Higgins has applied the pressure. I wouldn't be surprised if his game fell apart a bit.

Higgins got back at him with his own scoring power to level. I don't think Milkins can hold his own when things get a little bit scrappy, either.
Dott, meanwhile, should be relieved to get on the board with that last frame. But, he is playing awfully, to be honest.

          • Blimey, two big wins this morning.

Am out tonight, so won't be able to watch highlights. So have just nipped on to see the scores. Did Selby play well, or did Murphy play ****e? Or both?

Not seen as much as I would've liked of this tournament this week. Has he got a chance of winning, would you say?

I'd love to see Lee win a tournament this season, if I'm honest.

Considering nobody is playing at full strength here, he has every chance to fight for the trophy and looks well positioned to get to the semi-finals here, without playing fantastically today.

Pity that 50+ century mark has become irrelevant in the last couple of seasons.

Murphy wasn't great, it has to be said. Selby played alright, he didn't allow himself to be dragged down to Murphy's level, but I think he will need another gear against the likes of Allen now.

Anyway, Milkins hasn't fallen apart, excellent clearance to go back ahead. As was Lee's in the 4th frame.

                      • I would also like to see Stephen Lee win this Tourny.

Milkins should be 4-2 up Now Surely!..... But hes worse than HOLT when he misses etc if you seen him earlier in the Week Banging Table etc they said he may have Fine for that.

                        Gaz.

                        • So, good wins for Milkins and Lee then. It should make for a good semi-final.

From what I've seen this week (which isn't much), you're correct about a lot of people being below capacity. It'd be good to see Lee win a tournament.

Yes, the two last seasons canĀ“t be compared to the past. You could say, a new baseline is about to be created right now. It looks like 70 or 75 centuries in a season is the goal to aim for. That said when things are going his way, Selby probably is the best breakbuilder around at the moment.
