Yes, especially now with the way the 4th frame has gone, Robertson winning it in a couple of visits, taking all of the fluency out of the match. I expect him to take command now, but you never know...

Surprising to see Fu dominating the other match, considering he has such a poor record against Murphy...

    • If Lyou Haiotan wins the International Championship, as a wildcard I understand he will recieve no Prize money or ranking points for his victory, but would he be invited back as the defending champion next year even though he is to young to play on the main tour, when Ding won the 2005 China open he recieved his first round ranking points and prize money, but he was on the main tour and ranked N0 62 in the world and was Seeded N0 1 as the defending champion the following year. Also is Lyou Haiotan allowed to play in the PTC And EPTC events.

      • Robertson has this match won now. A bit of a shame that Lu has thrown so many frames away through inexperience, but I guess that's just the way it has to be. He will know better the next time they play.

In any case, Robertson can't afford to be so sloppy in the semi-final, particularly if he plays Murphy.

        • Not wanting to spoil my viewing enjoyment by reading about who won or lost today, can anyone tell me which match I can start off this evening with? I suppose the Trump Allen match should be worth viewing? Thanks for the help

Trump against Allen definitely, the match of the Championship so far.

Robertson against Lu was always going to be worth watching as well, particularly the early stages.

The other two matches had a pretty dead atmosphere, but Murphy against Fu was quite interesting as well at times.

Thanks once again...very much appreciated. With around 12 hours of snooker to choose from, makes the choice all the more difficult. Can't wait for the weekend to start, so I don't have to cram all these daily snooker hours into a few evening hours...

I'll definately start with Trump Allen and follow it up with Robertson Lu I guess.

              • What was the Allen/Trump result? i'm swaying towards Judd...

Edit: Went to a decider, must have been a cracker!

                • Allen came back from 3-5 down, but Trump won it in the end. Rather boring match to watch I found personally (sorry Odrl ), nothing going on untill the last frame. On with the Robertson Lu match...

Well, there's no accounting for taste.

I enjoyed it anyway, high quality throughout. Allen once again showing that he's never beaten, even when Trump throws his one-visit quick scoring at him for a couple of frames. Two great safety shots from Trump in the last couple of frames as well, even though the snooker behind the black was probably a bit of a fluke, as I'm sure he played the white tight to the cushion behind the black spot.

Definately a high quality match. Maybe not *that* boring, just wasn't much happening in terms of excitement. Think you're dead right about the fluke snooker on the black...white was supposed to be on the back cushion.

I've switched over to Walden Ebdon for now...see what's going on there ...not too much there, so Murphy Fu it is atm.

I'm a big Neil Robertson fan so I would love to see that too but, much as it pains me to say it, I think Murphy will beat him on Saturday. I just feel like he's due a big win and looks really up for it this week. Plus, he'll be extra determined after Neil beat him in the Masters final.
