Come on MJW! Really enjoying this match. Too bad it's only best of 7...

Congrats to Mark Williams! He really played an attacking game. Made some amazing pots to the middle pocket. Great match!

              Not too bad to me

Congrats to Mark J Williams. Good final that was.

I remember BH discussing the dress code in an interview half a year ago. So, now it has obviously come to an effect. Last seasons' PTCs were all played accordingly to the strict code. Not that I'd mind though. Looked a bit like a pool tournament was going on. But it's fine for me, as long as they don't turn up like the dart pros.

An unusually bad safety shot from Selby in the decider, not getting that snooker behind the black. When I saw Williams yawning earlier I just knew he would go for the first pot available. I just wasn't sure he would get it. Great shot though, and a nice break to finish the job. This surely puts him among the serious contenders for the next couple of major events.

Great to see him winning again. Such a beautiful cue action
when he is on his game.

There were lots of 4-3 score lines in the tournament too . . .

                            Love a deciding frame!

I am glad Matthew Selt got the highest break too (143).
My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
                            I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

Pretty much summed up the respect for snooker at the end with that no cheque in the envelope business ...

Some great play by both in the final...
