Indeed, quite strange to hand out an empty envelope in a victory ceremony.

    Best regards,

The new Acuerate cues are usually around 17.5oz with a small ferrule, usually 9.2mm or 9mm and the last 18" of the cue has a straight or nearly straight taper. I would judge them to be medium flex.

I just bought one on spec to see if the new version does have lower throw when using side and it does compared to a regular cue. In fact I reduced the height of the ferrule on mine and reduced the throw more than the production model.

They don't come too cheap though, at around E550 for the PRO model but that's cheaper than they used to be a few years ago. They are made in China but the shaft on mine is pretty good and the cue is well made.

I see Mark Williams is using one too. They are endorsed by Nic Barrow who also sells them through his website.

I was pretty surprised when I saw Mark's tweet. I couldn't believe he was using an Acuerate but hell yeah he did. I'm still very skeptical on these cues. One of my mates bought a second one recently, I tried it and if, for sure, there is less much deflection, I don't really feel comfortable with it. The general quality is bothering me, it's very cheap. The feel on the shaft, while cueing, is weirdo. The impression to play with a £20 rack cue. And the finish on the butt is below average...Very mixed feeling here and surprised Mark opted for one but it worked for him apparently and that's the best he could expect!

Congrats to him, good to see him back winning.
