Quite an impressive performance from Holt. He will need some more though, because there is another couple of good players in his quarter. Fu has already had a 5-0 win, over Cao Yupeng no less, and I have a feeling Walden and Bingham could play well too. :smile:Comment

This was in fact his best *prize money* result of the season his best finish result being a L16 in the six reds to go with another two L32s, two L64s, an L128 and some no shows in the ten available pro events so far this season. Seven months of the eleven month season to go and another 21 comps or so he could play, his winnings this year total about £13,500. Think he may have blown a Q event or two as well.Trump's game seems to have disappeared......more practice maybe ?
If it wasn't for retained points and rankings were done at the end of each season he'd be looking at dropping off the tour in seven months time.Comment

A struggle for Maguire this morning, Xiao leads 3-0 and still hasn't lost a frame in this tournament. The winner plays Peter Lines, so it could be a chance for Xiao to reach the QF here. :smile:Comment

The provisional rankings are really interesting. Williams is out of the top 16, Stevens dangerously in 16th position, Fu back in the business at 10th and Ding in need of some good points.Comment

Interesting choice of match... It can be kind of annoying when Ding is the automatic choice in Chinese tournaments, so I'm often glad Eurosport have the option to show the other table, but surely this time Ding-Gilbert is the more interesting match? :smile:
Anyway, it's always nice to see the local players, and with Lin taking the first frame against Selby, it's possible that he could make a match of it. :smile:Comment
