Most of the players have been doing this all week. I think it's because they don't have waistcoats on to hold the chalk.

Why don't they get a chalk pouch? Don't they find it a hassle when in the middle of a break to pick up the chalk from the table?

I cant see the problem with putting it on their trousers, except for the odd shot when you need lay a leg on the table and it would dig in your leg if not removed.

I've spotted a few with the chalk pouch. The rest just put the chalk on the table.
