Thanks DeanH. Looks like my Virgin Media Tivo didn't record any of it. I hope I'll catch it on youtube at some point.

Good match between Trump and McManus... McManus is playing surprisingly well for a player who only just got through the wildcard round. Could still go either way.

It wasn't exactly hard work for Robertson to get to 5-0, but it's dragging on now, 5-2 and the next frame still in the balance.

Nice win for Zhao Xintong against Steadman as well, I had a strong suspicion he would prevail in that one. There are some parts of the draw where Zhao would have had a nice chance for another win maybe, but Hawkins will be difficult. Probably too solid and experienced, but you never know.

Robertson wasting chance after chance. 5-4 now.

Robertson finally wins with a total clearance in the 10th frame.

Trump in trouble, 5-4 down. He's gone out early in every major tournament this season. Is this going to be another one?

Aaaarrrrggghhh, I hate leaving during tense deciders, but will have to watch this later.

Ding against Cao coming up later as well, which should be another good one.

Another first round exit for Trump. McManus played very well.

Trump lost his form toward the end of last season and this season has gone out in the first or second round of everything he's played in, once the other players are no longer scared of you, your mojo is gone and the reason Davis and Hendry stayed almost unbeatable for so long was because they were robots and every other player knew it.

All very well having a good time and who wouldn't want the lifestyle but there's a balance between being the robot and tweeting to the world about your clubbing with models, Ferraris, holidays and shoes - on current form he wouldn't make the top 32.

Fear factor counts in a mental game where you're playing the same people day in day out, so does confidence.

Brilliant win Alan! He played very well. Had a positive attitude and didn't try to grind down Trump. Now lets go on a good run.
