He is a bit on the slow side, particularly for a player of his age and style, but I think you are probably in a small minority of people who don't find him entertaining.
Yes, Wenbo is a very entertaining player to watch.

    • Wenbo is entertaining.....when he's not getting the balls cleaned!!! I'm going to count how many times in his next match!!!
I just adore the tactical side of any snooker match. Watching a good safety exchange is as good as watching a big break and I liken a tactical game of snooker to a game of chess (another love of mine).
Wenbo can be very slow and methodical at times which is entertaining in its own way but I just hope and prey he doesn't go down the same road as Ebdon has done!!! As I said in an earlier post, Ebdon was painful to watch at times and 100% credit must go to Ding in how he kept composed under such difficult conditions. I'm sure a lot of players would have crumbled and ended up going for silly shots, giving Peter EXACTLTY what he wants. I don't blame Peter for his tactics if that's the way he wants to play the game but I doubt he gains many Chinese fans after that match....and I doubt he even cares!!!
My rant about Ebdon is over. He is out to the better player.
You may defeat me but I will fight you to the very end!!!!

      • Marco Fu just having a bad session at the wrong time... Should have made it 4-3 now when he was in with the reds nicely spread, but he broke down on 50 with nothing safe, and Perry made a key clearance to win the frame. Obviously there is huge difference between 5-3 and 6-2 now, and Fu isn't really known for comebacks from way behind...

            Not sure. Fouls maybe?
My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
            I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

Fu was going for a two-cushion escape to clip off the reds when he was in trouble, and he missed about five times. Then Perry was snookered on the final yellow and kept missing as well, until he needed snookers. Perry played on and got one, but Fu finally secured an important frame to only be 5-3 behind. Could have been worse for him... He knows he can still take the match if he can reproduce some of the performances from earlier this week.

Fu laid a perfect snooker on the yellow and got 18 or 22 points from it, then he decided to take a free ball for 2 points

                  • Good start to the session for Fu, with the help of some outrageous luck. Must be hard to take for Perry, not just because Fu won the frame from that fluke, but also the fact that he got it on a miss that would have left Perry in.

                        • I enjoyed that frame, excellent scrap on the colours.

Perry has the momentum now, having won the last two, but it's been so fragmented that it's still anyone's game. 9-8 on the final black please.

I somehow can't see this decider being won in one visit.

                              • Well once again Virgin Media has fecked up the recording. I've set this to series link and it hasn't recorded the Marco Fu and Joe Perry semifinal because as far as Virgin Media is concerned, I'm currently watching under 17 football.

                                /rant over.
