  • A solid victory for Trump and this will give him the
much needed confidence this year I believe.
Robertson gave it his all but he did need his A game
in the finals and it just wasnt there. A well played
tournament but he ran out of gas it seems.

      • Congratulations to Trump, he was pretty solid, Robertson was a bit out of form on the other hand. I was suprised with Judd, apologizing for flukes and acknowledging good shots by Neil, maybe he has grown up? I hope so, as he is really superb player to watch, but his behaviour was not of my style. Keep it going Judd!

yep noticed that as well, maybe he has matured as a snooker player
Same here, always liked watching him but the lack of courtesy and acknowledgement took the shine of the play.
          Look forward to see more
          Up the TSF! :snooker:

This sums it up in a nutshell.

Congrats to Judd like i said before but the reason he is not overly liked is because he carries on like the spoiled little rich kid.

Many players on the tour say that Judd was a nice down to earth kid before he started to win events and then turned into an arrogant little ****!! Hopefully he has grown up a bit as he has a heap of natural talent.
If it is called " Common sense " why is it so rare???

            • Decent final, but I would have preferred a closer one.

It's nice to see Trump winning something again. It kind of lifts the pressure off him for the rest of the season, so he can be relaxed and maybe win a couple more. It would be nice if more players joined the big4 from last season.

It was a pretty good snooker week in the end, with some high quality matches, although a struggle to watch at times. The real summer break comes now, two months before the next major ranking event, the Shanghai Masters in September. But there will still be a couple of PTCs to enjoy in the mean time. Now I can finally get some sleep.

                • I've still not managed to see this as my Tivo decided to record a different thing instead. That will teach me to program it after I've had a few sherbets

I'm looking forward to watching the Eurosport replays later on tonight.

                  • Perhaps Trump was tired of losing and seeing
Robertson and Ding winning and getting a lot
of the attention. He has always been a favourite
player of mine (along with Robertson/Ding) so
hopefully this will be his year to mature and
                    play some awesome snooker.
Robertson is back to being #1 in the rankings
and hopefully Ding will continue playing very
                    well.

                    • Neil should reconsider entering the Wuxi Classics and focus on his home turf next year
Ten reds and not a colour...

                      • I think the scheduling needs to be fixed so that
there is a few days between tournaments.
Having these two tournaments back to back
with no days between them seems rather
                        foolish to me.

It does seem odd that there was two tournaments back to back in different countries, and now there's a month before any other snooker is played. I guess maybe the theory was that it saved the players the cost of flying after Wuxi, only to have to leave for Bendigo a week or so later.

                          • Good article in the Bendigo paper.

Worth a look at the video of Neil Robertson too:

My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
                            I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

                            • Caught up on my backlog of snooker for this tournament.

What a good final. It's a shame that Robbo didn't bring his A game to the final but it was still a good match. Judd played very well with some brilliant breaks. The best I've seen him play for some time. A well deserved win for Trump who must be very relieved to have finally won a bit of silverware. Hopefully it will give him the confidence to go on and win some more.

Good to see Robbo is back at number one. What can Selby do to get back on top.

                              • Its interesting that Robertson stated that the
playing conditions were the best of anywhere
they play. I think someone else also said that.
