Haha true. I think the fines put him off somewhat
and I see him playing like he did last season real
      soon.

Thanks Odrl !! It is going to be a great week.

        Wildcard round has started.

Andrew Higginson 2 - 0 Mathew Bolton (AUS)
Dominic Dale 2 - 0 Johl Younger (AUS)

My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
        I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

Is there any logic in who is playing the wildcards?

I thought for the Chinese events it was the lowest ranked qualifiers. Is it drawn out of a hat for the Goldfields?

Still disappointed Fu didn't make the effort to defend his title.

I think Johl Younger was the number 1 ranked Victorian and Matthew Bolton (from Western Australia) won the Australian Billiards Open (highest break 736).

Not 100% sure how they worked it out who would play.

            Edit: Just found this:

Hmmm, it won't let me add the link. Weird. Anyway google: City of Melbourne 16-18 May (Goldfields wild card qualifier)

It was won by Matthew Bolton.

"Robby Foldvari came close to qualify to share playing with commentating "

            They are both down 3-0

Sorry, I meant for those on the tour. In this instance, Dale and Higginson.

I think only the qualifiers were drawn out of a hat to see who played the wildcard matches and who played the top 16 players.

                Both wildcards lost 5-0

Yeah i thought so as i looked everywhere and thought maybe 1HD may have picked it up for the sessions Fox Sports is not showing live.

Robby Foldvari looking very suave in the suit on the T.V and i am going to give it to him at my next coaching session with him!!!

Even my kids saw him on the stream and said " Daddy there is Robby the man that helps you play " !!!

The Eurosport tv listing says it should be snooker but no. It's effing archery. Why?

It used to be the case that the lower-ranked qualifiers would have to the play the wildcards, but they changed it last year or the year before. Now the qualifiers are picked at random, and each player can only be picked to play the wildcard round once in a season.

Snooker is heading for a total meltdown, I just can't see how sponsors will put up with players not turning up , with the players missing this looks more like a local cash tourney(massive over reaction ) I would imagine it won't be long before they start insisting on attendance by the top sixteen, how do you sell this tourney to the locals, when the world champ, the player that won the most ranking events and the player regarded generally as the best haven't even bothered to turn up.
It's like a pre season football friendly when your local team play Man United, so you buy a ticket turn up all excited and United mostly play the under eighteen squad, it's all a bit disappointing.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!
