But we are thankful to have it none the less. We had the darts here that was full of fat drunken bums throwing metal sticks at a board for hours and it was a sell out nearly in one of our big CBD footy venues! Yet the Snooker gets put 150kms out of town from Monday to Friday mostly. Grrrrrrr

When Neil plays in 2 nights time we may get a bigger crowd and hopefully so.
I think the Victorian Government puts in a fair amount of money to get the contract and they wanted to encourage people to visit country areas such as Bendigo rather than Melbourne.
My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
    I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

Yep that is a fair point and like i said before it is great for Bendigo and it is a beautiful big country town.
If it is called " Common sense " why is it so rare???

Just finished the Higgins vs Ford match.

Ford could have got a lot closer if he had taken care over more of his shots. The red into the middle bag with bridging over the pack that he failed to pot in the last frame was a good example. Just got straight down on the shot and smacked it.

I'm not a huge fan of Ford 'cause he always looks grumpy but play like that doesn't help.

That's not quite true, unless I'm misinterpreting things... Barry Hearn said that he was trying to negotiate a flat draw for all tournaments, including Australia and Shanghai, but until that is done seeded 1st round losers will still receive their prize money, but it will not count towards the money rankings.

            ah, that rings a bell...
these are the only three on the prize money schedule marked at seed-0
found it, it is stated on the Prize Money Ranking Schedule page:
"Players losing their first match will receive prize money in full however this money will not count towards the prize money rankings."
            Up the TSF! :snooker:

Foxtel is not showing the sessions during the day (only the evening sessions).

So if you are not happy about this please tell Foxtel on their Facebook page that you want to see MORE of the Goldfield's Snooker.

              THANKS!

Bingham is having an easy match as Donaldson
is missing many shots and his safety play is
                horrible.
                Mark Davis 3-1 vs Dale.

Only 1 TV table it appears.

Foxtel: Hi, thanks for contacting us. We show as much of each event as our schedule allows. There is coverage of the day session currently scheduled this Saturday. I've passed your feedback on. - Cheers Jake

Yeah, thanks for nothing Foxtel. They gave me the same lame email response when I asked why they weren't showing the World Championships.

Stevens V O'Brien is a great game and over 2hrs match time which has the scores level at 2-2.

That 4th frame which came down to the last 2 colors went for 1hr alone!! Cracker finish coming up i think between these two guys.

What a negative shot Fergal played, i still cant believe he played the snooker in this frame, serves him right!
After 15 reds and 15 blacks i did this http://youtu.be/DupuczMS2o4

A bit unlucky of Fergal but I guess he should have gone for the pot.

Stevens was a bit lucky really but Fergal should have gone for the pot.

Stevens shouldn't have had a chance to be lucky because Fergal should have knocked the red in, he was far too negative IMO, like JJ said he could have even played the pot in in such a way that he covered the red with the baulk colours.

I'm surprised that noisy bird (is it a crow?) hasn't been shot lol.

Fergal is old school and he saw an opportunity to get a good snooker. Stevens admitted he was luck to fluke a snooker back. The rest is history.
