What a nervy finish in the end. O'Sullivan did so well to get back into the frame, only to bottle a simple colour clearance. Then Ding played that excellent snooker behind the black, which will probably be forgotten now that he lost. And finally O'Sullivan is left with a sitter after a couple of misses from both players. Not sure how he survived these last three frames...

O'Sullivan then played a great safety to force a mistake and cleared the remaining reds, including a difficult one near the black cushion and another one on the side cushion. He had the colours on their spots for the match and was perfectly on the yellow, only to overscrew from green to brown and leave himself a shot with the rest. The brown just wobbled in, but he left himself a tricky blue to the corner and missed it by a mile.
Ding then got a tremendous snooker behind the black and left the blue in baulk. O'Sullivan hit it, but left a possible shot to the middle at a tight angle. Ding missed it, leaving O'Sullivan a pot from mid-range. O'Sullivan missed it, leaving Ding another pot to the middle with the white near the jaws of the yellow pocket. Ding missed it, and this was the final miss of this exchange, as he left O'Sullivan a sitter for the match. He then played on for a snooker on the pink, but fouled the black himself.

Both players are a pair of bottleless chokers, O'Sullivan choked three times, Ding twice, Ding's choke happened to be the deciding one on this occasion. Whatever, O'Sullivan will be absolutely no problem for Robertson unless he puts in a great performance which happens about 1 time out of 10 these days. Robertson is too good, and not a choker. If he does happen to beat Robertson then Selby will just grind him out of the next match like always.

Ding had plenty of chances but he ain't no Selby. Being a Ronnie fan I can hardly complain. I doubt Robbo can handle Rocket but Selby in the final would make for good viewing for sure and dare I say Selby is gonna eat Ronnie for breakfast again.

To call a five time wc a choker and also a man who won three ranking events in a row is a disgrace.
According to your logic neil has to be also a choker. Remember last uk semi final. Led 4-0 but "choked"
Btw a certain ding beat neil at the ptc grand final after being 0-3 down.Last edited by Masterdoctorgenius; 22 November 2013, 10:55 PM.

Choker, yeah ok then, i've never seen Ronnies positional play be so bad, but he has won ugly tonight and he is'nt letting his head drop when he falls behind, this makes very dangerous!!!After 15 reds and 15 blacks i did this http://youtu.be/DupuczMS2o4

I thought a very gutsy performance from Ronnie and it's good to see him enjoying his game again and he has the ability to up his game when he has to and he will for the final.

I have known Ronnie since he was 12 when I bought a cue from his dad, He gave me one game, (to give me a chance to get a feel for the cue) Ronnie made a 70-odd I had about 3 shots and thought, " this aint a bad cue" .
I have only ever had one criticism of Ronnie (if you can call it that) and that has been his inability to ( without being disrespectful) hold his own when being questioned in the post match chat.
However tonight's chat I felt he spoke with confidence, the humor was perfectly placed and his compliments were sincere and I feel that this is all that had been missing from his "all round" sportsmanship.
Did anyone else feel that ?
Regardless, what a great game and comeback, in a way I am Glad Carter lost last night because with his track record against Ronnie it wouldn't be such a good game to watch, however now he is playing Neil we know we are going to get a game worthy of spending the night watching.
