if only Bingham had a bit of bottle .. he has had dozens of chances .. this is the worst I have seen Ronnie play in a long match for quite a while yet Ballrun could get little run today

He was worse against Ali Carter in the WC. Ronnie seems to be having the 'John Higgins factor' right now. When he's having a stinker, his opponent is also having the same. From around 08-11 John Higgins would drive me crazy. He'd be outplayed, somehow take it to a decider and then hit in a century.

love that shot ronnie plays - screw into pack then onto the cushion and off with check side to stay on the black - so simple but effective at opening the pack on the fast cloths.

If I play it at that pace on our club table - thud plop nothing happens

Great win for Ronnie despite playing like dirt. Anticlimactic, but I don't think Ronnie is in the mood to celebrate lol.

The biggest winner was snooker though. This event was brilliant. It could do with some tweaking of course, but the foundations and standards have been set for future events.

Hopefully ITV might be able to show 2 or 3 invitational events throughout the year. Robertson/ROS were right in that the rankings don't mean much anymore, Masters aside.

Not exactly a brilliant final, but I still enjoyed it. :smile:

O'Sullivan struggled to score all week, to be honest, but otherwise he was very solid. Some very good safety when he needed it, and a good mental approach, similar to the one that won him the last World title. He is the man to beat in the UK Championship, although he will probably need to score better to take it...

Good week of snooker all in all, I would call it brilliant if I could have watched it on TV instead of struggling to find streams. :smile:

And how good has Itv been, I hope they get to show a lot more snooker!!
