  • Looks like Neil Robertson wasn't happy with the table last night.

Neil Robertson ‏@nr147 "Table was horrible for both @joegentlemanjoe and I tonight. Potted some crazy balls which got me out of trouble! #kicksbigbounces"
My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
    I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

what do you mean you can't record on the red button, i have recorded everyday, if you have your DVD HDD hooked up, just go to channel 301/302 and record, i usually record the afternoon match from the BBC 1 or 2 channel because i like the analysis they do in mid session intervals and the interviews at the end.

on the red button channel its just the matches with commentary but in the breaks sometimes there is no coverage. i then sit down at night and watch up to 6 hours of recording.

i'm not sure he bottled it, he just misjudged it, i was speaking to his manager just after he lost and he said he played the wrong shot, why was he trying to stun around the black. he should have just rolled the pink in and he would have been on the black.

he wasn't playing very well today and sometimes when that happens players can lose confidence on certain shots. i think it was still unlucky for the pink to hit the knuckle of the middle jaw and roll over the other pocket. but thats how it goes when you not playing well.

So true. When you are having a bad day, you really have a bad day.

Even when you get a really good pot, you go in-off or snooker yourself.

Is this Virgin system you have? as on Sky 301/302 would be SkySports.
And I am pretty sure that you cannot record the Red button on Sky+
            Up the TSF! :snooker:

No Dean I just have a DVD player which has built in Freeview and a HDD for recording, mine has a 500GB HDD but you can get some with smaller and they are not expensive. around £150-£180.

I just go to the guide and scroll to channel 301/302 and record, I think these are not available via the sky box.

You'd have a hard job bud, cause those channels on Sky are the film channels.....

                  • Hi Dean

Oh just remembered, you can watch red button services on TV Catchup, if you look on the net you can download capture software which will record any stream to your PC, it takes a lot of space so you will need quite a bit of free space, which these days is not a problem most PCs and laptops have 250Gb hdd +

I would recommend create a folder for your recordings so you don't have to look all over for it.

                      • Just saw the O'Sullivan and Milkins match this morning. It didn't take long

Ronnie was lethal. Poor Milkins had few chances and managed to choke on all of them. If O'Sullivan keeps this form up then the championship is his.

                        • So I guess we can say the UK champs has finally started.

Some may feel that, and also that we're only getting five days of coverage instead of the usual nine, but with those four days of preliminaries this has felt like a longer tournament than most. At least to me.

                              • I don't like the new format at all. Just feels like every other tournament and 4 tables in the same room does nothing for the atmosphere.
