Not sure he'll have appreciated Neil mentioning it, either, for that reason."Kryten, isn't it round about this time of year that your head goes back to the lab for retuning?"

I'm slightly disappointed it didn't last at least until midnight, but credit to Robertson for winning with a couple of frames to spare in the end, even though he was 5-1 down at one point. Maybe it was those last two frames of the afternoon that won him this match, because he definitely came out believing in himself tonight, and I just wonder if that would have been the case from 6-2 down for example.
Also interesting to hear he got advice to avoid all that safety and just go for it more, because that was definitely his problem earlier in the match. He refused two pots when he had his hand on the table in the second frame, and that just kind of set the tone for the whole of his performance in the first session.
I enjoyed some of the drama tonight, the pressure clearly getting to both players a bit, even though they are normally very strong. I wasn't too shocked Selby missed that black, because he had been making a lot of mistakes prior to that, so there was a kind of feeling in the air that there could be another twist. More surprised about Robertson's missed pink, I still don't know what he was doing there.
It was also nice to see the sporting atmosphere at the end of the match, and also the honesty of both players in the interview. But I'm not sure I would agree with Robertson that tonight was the best he's ever played in a final, and I've seen them all...
