I have a sneaky feeling that Stephen Hendry sent Robertson that text message. I remember in the past Robbo asking Hendry advice about breaking building etc and Hendry said that his breaking building was amateurish (don't quote me on this). The former world champion said Robbo's safety is not as good as Selby's, so attacking snooker would be more appropriate. Sounds like a comment Hendry would make, I know he's not a fan of safety play!Last edited by ken147; 8 December 2013, 11:51 PM.

Well done Robbo and great stuff.
Can anyone give a run down of what they think the deciding or best frame was etc? Was it drama packed and at what point would Selby look back and say " That is what cost me " etc etc.
We had no coverage of it here in Australia and i want to see some game play so will search Youtube and see what has been uploaded from the final but only want the real deciding frames that influenced the result and it is hard to know as i have not seen a thing currently! If it is called " Common sense " why is it so rare???

Well done Neil!
My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

Are you allowed text messages during a match, isn't that coaching? Especially if he's told him don't play so much safety play a more attacking game, hmmm. This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

Although to be fair, I did say "if it remains" scrappy. It was scrappy in a couple of frames, but Robertson did the damage in the first four or five, when he was going for his shots and made those two centuries.

In short...Mark had his chance to stamp his full authority on the match from the beginning, but failed to twist the knife so to speak Neil got more confident with each frame and played much better. A deserved winner in the end. Btw Mark missed a crucial last black as well in frame 15 to go 8-8 after being behind a couple of frames. Instead Neil went on 9-7 and there was no way back for Mark.
That's about it, if memory serves me well
