I've never seen a ref refuse to clean the white.. it was odds on for the kick to follow too.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You can take something from any match you play.
It was hard to watch this lad who was completely out of his depth, playing a match in front of a big crowd, live on TV against the best player ever performing the way he did could do more damage than good.
What is there to get out of the match? He didn't compete, despite Ronnie giving him numerous chances, he missed two of the easiest balls I've seen in a long while and for me he just doesn't have what it takes. He's 19 now and whilst he might not be the finished article, in respect to others his age especially in the game today he is miles behind. I'm all for seeing new faces but I think its better to give players a bye rather than give amateurs like this a chance who haven't really earned it or deserved it based on this showing.

Thankless job really, being the referee. Can't be a good feeling seeing Selby get the kick right after he refused to clean the cue ball for him. But what can you do...
Good for Castle to get that frame, because he was all over the place in the previous two frames. Now Selby is right under pressure again. He has all the experience though...
