  • Well done Dott. Must have played well to beat Carter with considerable ease.

I think he won two frames on the black in the middle of the match, one with a clearance from behind and one where Carter came from behind and only broke down on the final black. But it's impossible to know how that looked with only watching the live scoring.

Yes, good match. Duffy certainly played his part and at 3 - 3 I was beginning to wonder if Ronnie was going to wobble, and he did a bit, but not as much as Duffy in the end. What about that brown! And after he'd done all the hard work. Don't think he ever really recovered from that one.

I see Mags and Liang are locked at 4 - 4, shame we can't watch that one now.

Agreed. Shame. I wish they could just point the camera there and go home if they are in such a hurry anyway

I know Marcus and mentally he his as strong as anyone, he perhaps is not as gifted as some that's what lets him and many more down.

Did you watch him the other day against China Lu Haotian? If you did, you'd know what I am talking about. Nothing against him. he has a great game but not the mentality. that is my humble personal opinion. I might be wrong though but I do not see him beat Ronnie in a decade.

Never said he would beat Ronnie just that he is mentally very strong.

Duffy came out like a steam train, and unfortunately ran out of it towards the end.

Yeah, that about sums it up. Can't help but wonder though, if Ron hadn't got that enormous fluked red after butchering the safety, and the aforementioned brown...

                      I know, ifs and buts.

Hi I'm Marcus Campbell and I registered here to reply to your slanderous.......

Lol. Haven't you learnt your lesson yet that the pros do read this forum! Perhaps he just needs a little more support and a little less criticism from all of us!

Ps I'm not having a go at you i'm saying this with a smile on my face.

There's no doubt in my mind that Duffy has the game to have turned Ronnie over yesterday. He just lacked the composure, nerve and killing instinct towards the end... which is all part and parcel of being a winner, of course.

                          • It's just struck me that with this new format, some of us may not even get to see their favourite player if they go out early. I know that's always the case, technically speaking, but usually if your player reaches the tv stages, you know you'll get at least one chance to see them play.

Also, I'm finding it so difficult to keep track of, I'm not even sure if Mark Williams is still in or not, but I'm disappointed none of his matches have been covered so far.

                            • Williams seems to be struggling against Ricky Walden at the moment. Shame that a few great players won't be on TV and we had to watch Jimmy White missing balls instead.

Exactly how I feel. Very difficult to work out who's where etc. I wanted to keep up with MJW's progress too.

I think Selby might be onto something saying the flat 128 is fine, but they should have the early stages completely off camera an then have Full coverage later on in the tournament.
