This forum has massive bias towards O'Sullivan. I admire the player but his fans **** me off. Why can't you just admit Bingham was better today instead off posting petty comments about his look and his so-called luck? A little bit of class would be apppreciated cause nothing you could say could send Ronnie into the semifinals now.

Well played to Neil Robertson... He struggled a bit to get over the line, and some frames went scrappy after both players wasted chances, but Robertson had a couple of strong frames where he did the damage, and that was all he needed. He will start favourite in his semi-final now, surely. :smile:

Exactly .... I have nothing against Bingham and he did better than what could be expected of him but I am gutted as Ronnie robbed me of a great semi final clash between himself and Robbo. Bingham would do well to take a couple of frames off Robbo.

bingham was better today in every area - ronnies shot selection was poor and his mid and long range potting terrible, he had one good frame (6) but even then he rode his luck.

I completely agree. Bingham was the better player and deserved to win. Ronnie fans often struggle to be gracious in defeat. Probably because he wins so often that they haven't had enough practice at it!

I fancy Walden to defeat Allen tonight. Selby should beat Hawkins, but I haven't seen any of the latter this week and Barry beat Selby in the WC.

An Allen vs Robertson final could be the most attractive to watch and I'd like Allen to win, though Selby/Robertson would be the most unpredictable. I don't want it though, unless Selby is on form. An off form Selby will just turn it into an unbearable dog fight like he did last year.

I only watch ronnie and jimmys matches, the other players dont get my juices flowing. Might watch maybe 10mins to 1 hour of the final, shame cause was really looking forward to watching ronnie win the event, he didnt seem up for it today, if the match was this evening he would probably have won 6-0. Ah well. Time to dust down and look forward to a ptc event theyre in.

To be fair its always been the same in snooker. I know people from the 80's who packed up watching when Higgins lost, when White was knocked out and now Ronnie has taken over that mantle.

Happens in other sports too when the big names are knocked out, a lot of the interest is lost by casual fans who are important. Its only the die hard fans who appreciate the players and what they do that get pi**ed off by these but where would the game be without the casual fans!
