Well, that was a long morning. What a scrap.
But Robertson is through again. It was the third time in a row where he lost the lead, and indeed gave Yu plenty of chances to take him out, but Robertson made a couple of good breaks under pressure in the end. He is at the business end of the tournament now. Will his health improve just in time for him to seriously challenge for the title? Or is it time for him to come across someone who shows a bit more fluency and just outplays him? Graeme Dott next... Could be a good one, or could be another scrap.
Neil played maybe the worst i have seen and Yu is the most unpredictable player ever.
I have never seen so much luck go a players way after taking risky shots on you should not even be looking at only to see double kisses and miss hits land safely and hamper Neil. Sanity prevailed though and Neil showed a heap of mental toughness to get through that match!!
I would of been pulling my hair out had Yu made those shots against me and the luck he got was amazing but it ran out in the last frame and the better player won.
Congrats Neil on a gritty hard fought victory.
If it is called " Common sense " why is it so rare???
"There has only ever been Alex Higgins, myself and now Ronnie O'sullivan who play the game the way it should be played with such excitement - I know the fans love it this way" - Jimmy White
The whirlwind never has a nickname ever been this much out of date. Jimmy White is far past his best and Selby is enjoying a ridiculous draw in China, his best opponent on his way to the semifinals being the world number 56. Hopefully Jimmy White proves me wrong now.
Good match so far, both players punished for a couple of their mistakes. I think Higgins will be the happier of the two at the interval though, having gone 2-0 behind earlier.
Think jimmy took a bit off his tip in first frame bad miscue, should be 2-2 he threw that frame away, ah well, he did ok to get to the last 16 and almost secure for another year on tour.
I do wish the commentators would bog off with their constant, "Was that a kick?" every time a player misses!
SOMETIMES THEY JUST MISS!! They take their eye off the pot, they cue across the shot, they move their head... THEY'RE HUMAN AND SOMETIMES THEY JUST MISS!!
Going by their theory I'm a top three player. It's just that I get a kick on nearly every shot I play.

... and relax.
Also when the balls jump, it doesn't necessarily mean it was a kick, e.g. when cueing down over a ball, the cue ball will obviously be bouncing.
I enjoyed that match, although it could have been closer...
Great win for Ding, made some nice breaks, particularly those two or three clearances from behind. Higgins didn't play that badly himself, but he just missed a few too many in the end. The draw is not bad at all for Ding now, and he is playing some good stuff, probably better than in Germany and Wales. He certainly has a chance of equalling Hendry's record this week.

I'm the same. Except that I also get massive cushion bounces or a dead cushion depending where the white ends up.
Another player under pressure this week has been Mike Dunn, who was 1-4 to Peter Lines in the first round. He's in the quarter finals and have made enough to remain on the tour I think.
