I think we're about to see another shocker with Alan Duffy knocking out Shaun Murphy.
EDIT: Shaun just scrapped through by the skin of his teeth. Duffy was extremely close to bagging a major scalp.Last edited by cyberheater; 17 February 2014, 06:28 PM.

I hope Barry Hearn can do something for snooker. My dream is that the sport grows big enough to provide good incomes for twice as many professionals. Big ask I suppose.

In football there's loads of money sloshing around providing high wages for mediocre players but no-one seems to want to put any money into snooker.

As it is just now, if people choose to turn "pro" at a game where about 32 people can make a living then be in that 32 or find a sponsor/wife/whatever.

You can see that at least 72 professionals have earned more then 30k. Not too bad for playing something you love and of course a lot of them will have additional sponsorship and other money opportunities.

I'd take it it must be 1 year. But then £500k seems a lot for Robbo?

This is a two year list. Good money for the elite but tough for many others.
Pay a grand for Q school you get a tour card and a bill for the 20 odd k it costs to enter everything minus the hotels and the travel on top of this along with your normal living expense - coaching management and tax bill not to mention the cut world snooker take from your winings if you do win anything -
Dont sound fun to me - its not all about the talent either - you need a backer/sponsor and time to develop. I actually feel for these guys- Great game if you keep it a hobby - soul destroying for many others.Last edited by Byrom; 17 February 2014, 07:42 PM.

"This list shows the prize money earned by Tour players during the 2012-2013 season in those tournaments which determine the prize money based rankings list, as well as prize money earned by Tour Players in the 2013-2014 season so far. Those players who joined the Tour at the start of the 2013-2014 season started this season on zero pounds."
so the money list essentially covers 1.5 seasons so farUp the TSF! :snooker:
