  • Anyway, a good win for Carter in the end. He took a 3-1 lead with some good snooker, then missed a pretty routine black when he had a chance for 4-1, and the match turned around, kind of like the match between Walden and Hawkins at the Masters. But Carter held up better under pressure after it went 3-3.

Robertson has certainly played a couple of good frames under pressure as well this week, winning that 8th frame in a couple of visits for 5-3, but it could have been very different had Dott won just one of those three close frames.

Both, one on each channel. I think they have Ding on the main channel and Selby on Eurosport2.

Yes, I will be concentrating on the Ding match personally. Could be tougher than it seems for him, because King is very tough to crack when he is playing well. They met in the 2nd round of the World Championship last year, and Ding probably didn't give him enough respect at the start of the match, and found himself 6-2 down after the first session as a result. But he then played his best snooker of the tournament to come back and take control of the match. He is playing well this week, so he should win, but any complacency would be ill-advised.

I expect Selby to win the other match pretty comfortably, clearly stronger than Dunn in every element of the game...

Thanks Odrl. I thought there was something more to it than that, pretty basic stuff really.

                • I just heard the guy saying the Selby match is on EuroSport2 but when I turn over it's tennis. I'm in the UK. Are other folks seeing the same thing?

Okay. Thanks for letting me know. I guess snooker is a second class citizen in the UK.

Yes. It's really rubbish. And they keep going over or under such that I never get to record a whole match. The only way is to do a manual recording for the whole day. What a joke.

                          • 3-0 to Ding. I think Ding can taste a new title.
