  • Ali's doing well in this 3rd frame. Might pinch it.

Edit : and then he screws up on the pink. 3-0 it is.

Yeah a Carter vs Dunn Final would be worst nightmare come through

    • Midsession interval and Robbo 4-0 up. Very one sided Semi, but really no less than I had expected. Ali is probably my least favourite player to watch, he can be much to hard on himself and drag himself down. Too bad as he is a likeable lad.

So...Robbo in the Final it seems. Looking forward to the other Semi. That one has more interest for me. Great run so far for Mike Dunn, can he make his first ever Final?

      • Its 3:50am here and I just caught the last of frame 4 and Robertson
seems to be cueing very well and as mentioned up 4-0. The match
has gone quickly so far and I hope he can wrap it up and get ready
        for the finals.
Ding I believe is also playing well so I would imagine a one sided
        match but who knows.
It hopefully will be a great final.

        • Yeah odds are Ding will come out on top. But with the way Mike has been focused this week (due to trying to stay on the Tour next season), I have a feeling he will put up a mighty fight and could cause an upset. I think the Semi will be great to watch.

            • Hmm we'll then 4-2 it is! Good work by Ali to get back into the match. We may still have a match to look forward to.

              • Robertson moves on to the finals. I felt he could have won
sooner but missing that fairly simple red in frame 5 let
                Carter in.
I am looking forward to the next semi final match.

                • Far too many bangs and clatters echoing around this aircraft hanger of an arena. Carter didn't look too pleased when somebody dropped one while he was attempting a tricky cut-back black in the 7th frame, which he missed. But fair dues to robertson, he potted some lovely balls and was the deserved winner in the end. If we end up with a Ding v Robertson final it should be a corker, unfortunately for me I won't be able to watch it live.

                  The fast and the furious,
                  The slow and labourious,
All of us, glorious parts of the whole!

                  • Robertson makes it to the final without making a century break. How odd.

                    • Didn't think either was at their best but Robertson is becoming a winner.

As an aside, the more I watch Eurosport, the more I appreciate the BBC.

from the Welsh where it was Carter that knocked him out after a tight match, or is it longer history?

one of those situations were someone finally gets the chance on the big stage and I think main thing is whatever the result you get the chance to show people what a good player you are and enjoy the occasion, easier said than done but gona be a cracking athmosphere and I suppose what every sportsman really looks for when they set out on their career
