In terms of dominating the season, Hendry's achievement is more impressive. He won 5 out of 8 ranking events, none of them short format like India. He also won the Masters and the Scottish Masters that season, as well as the Matchroom League, which was the predecessor to the Premier League.

But of course he didn't win the World Championship. Ding still has the chance to finish on an incredibly high note... :smile:

Yeah that would be something wouldn't it. Would be great if he did, it's been a long time coming. And imo he is one of only a handful of players who could in my view handle ROS the way he's been playing (but probably not when he's in absolute top form). I think Ding and Robertson have the best chance, with Higgins, Selby and possibly Murphy having an outside chance.

So I asked both Crispian and Lewis from Stamford about Ding's case but both argue that as far as they know it's not made by them… That's a bit strange cause I don't know anyone else who can make that case. Maybe Parris?!
