I doubt Jimmy puts in 5-6 hrs of matchplay practice a day like he did when he was younger and that is what would be required just to stay sharp.

Go to timestamp 1:01:10 to see what I mean, even the expression on his face when he's in his chair tells a story.
It's also a good example of the professionalism of Murphy who asked the ref to clean the cue ball because he's given Jimmy the benefit of the doubt and assuming that Jimmy had a bad kick.

I see Selby is wearing a glove. Conditions must be quite humid out there.

A pretty good morning today.

Ding was in trouble again, but was there any doubt that he would make a big break in the decider once he got the chance? He won the penultimate frame with a total clearance as well. He will probably need a stronger start against Murphy though.

Selby beat Saengkham 5-2, taking a couple of key tactical frames, but he gave Saengkham plenty of chances... He also seemed to go for pretty much everything, with mixed success. He plays Liang Wenbo next, a 5-3 winner over Mark Davis, and that should be a good one.

I missed the Williams-Allen match during the night. Did anyone watch that? Allen still has the chance to win this tournament three times in a row then. Higgins also through pretty comfortably...

A couple of surprises today as well, Maflin beating Carter with a string of high breaks, and Dale beating Bingham, one of my title favourites. Meanwhile, Hawkins is involved in another decider against Joyce, no surprise there.

So, we've got womens football on Euro at the minute, the match is 56 minutes old at time of writing and the snooker should have started 7 minutes ago, i shan't hold my breath!

I've come to the conclusion Eurosport just does not give a toss! Hardly anything ever runs to schedule, they just make it up as they go along, when you try and record something its best to record the whole channel for the day and forward wind to the point you wanna watch, the times i've set the timer to record snooker and its recorded the skiing or whatever, a joke of a channel!

I think Michaela needs to learn some basic Chinese phrases. Isn't it a bit arrogant to speak in an aggressive tone at those in the crowd, in English? The game is being played in China after all. I was thinking...it would seem strange if a Chinese referee spoke to a British spectator in Chinese during a match in Sheffield.

I don't think Trump could be playing any worse here.

Neil Robertson has just won the first frame against Rory McLeod, frame time must have been an hour or so, so I don't think Neil got another century onto his tally
                      Up the TSF! :snooker:

Don't know how Judd managed to go 2-2 at the interval. If Matthew can't capitalise on a mini session where Judd is playing that badly I can't see him winning the match.

That 4th frame between Trump and Stevens was probably the poorest quality snooker i have ever witnessed. i have seen miles better in the local league.

Why is it that people tend to move when Matthew Stevens is at the table?
                            Or is it just Matthew?
At the Welsh, he stared at someone in the audience and I am sure I had not seen them move at all

I'm just watching the 4th frame now. My word it's bad.
