The conditions in these countries is not really conducive for good snooker. We can criticise the players and be amazed and find faults but until you have played in a different country with high humidity I think you will never understand how much this affects the way the balls play.
Tbf i did see quite a few balls throw different also not getting the required bounce.....on a side note the issue off the venues being near empty is embarrassing.

I also thought that the cue ball looked a little light to me, I noticed a few times that the ball reacted very quick off screw shots. The commentators on eurosport were saying how lively the cloth was but it certainly didn't look as lively when they showed Robertson playing Mcleod.

It was a shame to see Matthew lose out to Jud at the end there. Matthew was a regular face a decade or so ago and it was great to see him competing again. It's hard to believe when you look at him, that he's actually one of the 'old skool'.Last edited by Billy; 12 March 2014, 07:41 PM."Kryten, isn't it round about this time of year that your head goes back to the lab for retuning?"

I series link it on my virgin media box, it records 10 minutes before the programme starts and 10 minutes after, there have been times when i've gone to watch it and i've missed it completly because other sports have ran over, my internet and tv has been down since 12:30 pm today, i've been on the phone half the day trying to find the fault, nightmare! Earliest time they can send an engineer is Friday, great! After 15 reds and 15 blacks i did this http://youtu.be/DupuczMS2o4

That's not good . Hope it's sorted soon .
I watch a LOT of ice hockey and on premier sports it's the same thing as you have said ....I have to record the programme before and after to make sure I get the whole game incase it goes to overtime , or the sport before it is overrunning

As scottley so rightly says, they start and finish when they like. I've lost count of the number of match finishes I've missed since Monday because the coverage has run over into the following programme's time slot, either because they start an hour late or because they just stay with it regardless of time and schedules.
Sky doesn't understand that you're trying to record a particular programme and will only record for the slots designated by the EPG. If Eurosport start late/run over - which they inevitably do - then your recording stops when the EPG slot switches, regardless of whether or not the coverage has ended.Last edited by Billy; 13 March 2014, 12:15 AM."Kryten, isn't it round about this time of year that your head goes back to the lab for retuning?"

It's good to see Alan McManus in the latter stages once again. After slipping out of the top 16 almost 8 years ago he had shown no real signs of getting back to that sort of level but in the last year or so he's been playing very consistently and has a good chance of reaching the quarter finals at least. He's beaten two tough opponents in Gould and Milkins to reach the last 16 and the way he is playing there is no reason he can't defeat his next opponent Dominic Dale a player he has a very strong record against.

Selby hitting century too in the fifth frame, leading now 4-1.
