Cant believe it happened again. Trump was 4:0 up in the best of 9 frames in no time but ended up loosing 5:4 on the brown in the deciding frame.Credit to John he come out very aggressive potting ball all over the place. Had 147 attempt but lost position on the 14th red. John must be unlucky customer for judd.

but really he should know, he's not walking out of a trendy night spot in spain but in glasgow, when he plays john.. yet another learning curve for the student.. judd needs to find some gears, all old school top players have them.

Did you even see the game? I ask because you make out that Judd didn't give Higgins any respect and just thought he'd get a chance and win the match because Higgins wasn't playing well!

Fact is when a player hits a purple patch like that you get zero chances and don't even get to have an attempt at a pot for about 3-4 frames. There is nothing you can do about it unless you resort to gamesmanship but Trump is better than that. Obviously Robertson or Selby would have grinded away and made it a snoozefest but that is the ugly side of the game that needs eradicating in my eyes.

Also as I commented on the main thread for the event the turning point in this match was the interval. No interval, trump wins period. That is also another topic which needs debating and considering by world snooker, we really don't need them with players having comfort breaks between frames all the time.

I watched Higgins playing in championship league and he only lost 4or so frames in the all day. I think he playing very well at the moment with his new cue. Hopefully he can produce some more fireworks in the world championship. As for the Trump he really should lost to Stevens 5:2. He was rubbish and so how managed to effect stevens game and come back from 4:2 to win 5:4 with his highest break of 49.

Yes. I saw that as well. Really great cueing from the wizard of Wishaw. And it looks like he is keeping the momentum going. I think the only thing stopping John is John. He certainly has the ability.

A few years ago yes, but I'm still not convinced that he's still anywhere near good enough to challenge an on form O'Sullivan.
