i was watching Joe Swail's match last night against Li Yan in the qualifiers and sitting quite close i noticed he has a very strange cue action. not sure if this is recent or if he changed it somehow. but he has his grip elbow way behind his back, his grip is sideways i.e his knucles are facing up, and when he follows through he flicks his wrist to move the cue forward.
i wonder has anyone else noticed , i never noticed he did this years ago
Joe Swail has always had a "strange" grip, supposedly it was from when he was learning as a child and never really changed it much since. Definitely not a grip to show a new player
I wonder who could be potential banana peels for those in the top 16. I don't think Fu would want to draw Gould, Ding probably doesn't want to draw Day or a Chinese player and possibly O'Sullivan wouldn't want Ebdon (although he has had the better of him in recent times).
The World rankings after the world championship will be based on points earned last two seasons, but the top 64 on the mony list will remain on the tour and the order of merit (Money system) will start when the first ranking tornament begins next season, and the points system will then be scrapped.
Dean, is it possible that Jimmy is still on the tour cos he's in the top 64 based on the "money list"? Not sure how it all works nowadays but I saw a spreadsheet at one time which gave the make-up of the top 128 and players can qualify for their card via various routes.
Ronnie O' Sullivan seven times the record breaking Snooker Master
No idea why Dominica Dale carried on in the first frame when the score was 89-0 with only 45 points left on the table. he missed the red after 8 points too lol. Strange that, maybe wanted the run of the balls, but he is losing 2-0 atm, i put some money on him today too. Probably lost it already looking dodgey.
Did Tom have to hit the Yellow there or forfeit the frame? Each time he missed it Stevens made him play from where the cueball landed, so surely if the cueball is not replaced its a brand new shot and the 3 miss rule starts from scratch???
