Ronnie has his demons back it seems. I wondered how long this Steve Peters fella could work his magic before Ronnie stopped buying into the psychological BS that these people often spout. He won't win the world title this year, that I'm certain.
What a ridiculous scoreline this is. You could quite easily snatch 4 or 5 frames from Ronnie's total and give it to Shaun, that's how close he's been to winning some of these frames. But he's completely bottled this match, no other word for it, its not bad luck just very bad playing at the key moments and loss of nerve.

Hmm...yeah could be. It did seem remarkably like the Ronnie of the old days didn't it. But...I think it will be a temporary glitch in the system. However, he's not been in top-mental form from the start of the tournament though. That's very clear for me.
This is why I wanted Murphy to get through....he is scared of Ronnie, unlike Marco Fu.
On a separate note, I have noticed the BBC focusing on a close-up of a player immediately after a shot, even though the balls are still moving. I really want to see where the balls have landed, rather than a zoom in on the player. Slightly annoying.
I thought Selby and trump were struggling, just picking up the pieces, loads of silly mistakes
Not from what I've observed. Selby and Hawkins have been playing consistently solid snooker. Trump was terrible in the 1st round, better against Day and even better in his 1st session with Neil yesterday.
Ronnie is playing bad because Murphy is not challenging him. If he can win ugly and playing rather poor he will do that, no need to play like Robertson against Allen and lose also like Robertson against Trump the next match...
