I'm watching Robbo and Judd. For anyone who's watching Hawkins and Dale, with the HUGE comeback in progress by the latter... is it more that Dale is playing phenomenally, Hawkins is crumbling under pressure, or something in-between?

If Neil was playing his proper game he would've got this century ages ago.

He's still not playing well, is he? I know he's won more frames today but that's mostly because Judd is not playing as well. If. Neil got his game up somewhere close to the standard he's been playing at for most of the season he could win this match comfortably.

I think the problem with Robbo and his speed of play is this. Folks don't mind watching a naturally slow player. I actually do enjoy the slow Ebdon frames almost as much as the quick Ronnie ones. But when you have a naturally quick player like Robbo deliberately slowing down his game it does make you wonder why. I can understand that he's behind and that he's trying to be accurate and careful. On the other hand. I do feel that there is a touch of gamesmanship going on here.

Indeed. Totally agreed. Neil can play fast and he usually does. But now he tries to slow down, fragment the frames and annoy Trump....hopefully it wont work and Judd will win.

Tension doesn't come into play during a simple break or safety shot. I felt no tension watching Neil takeover 1 minute on some simple shots.

Each to their own. I certainly feel the tension and I am sitting at home drinking a beer.

Both players must feel the tension during a long frame/session. It comes down to who can handle it better.

I do wonder if Neil playing slowly hurts his form as his normal pace is faster unless it is a complex shot.

Really enjoying this match.
