Couldn't agree more... Trump's comments after his first round defeat of Tom Ford showed dis-respect for his opponent, the game itself and worst of all us - the spectators that pay his wages.. He needs to grow up. Couldn't believe he came out and said he was 'bored' towards the end of the match (even if he thought that...)

Don't forget the "Neil is scared of me" comment. He's a douche bag.

why do kicks happen to lesser players at crucial points? I doubt Robertson, Trump, Ronnie, or Ding would have got the kick that Dale got at such a crucial stage ... 10-6 he was in it but its over now. To me he twitched but commentators are always moaning kicks every time a player misses a ball

That was no twitch..It's possibly one of the worst kicks I've ever seen in 40 years watching and 30 years playing snooker.. His approach to the shot looked absolutely correct, but the black never even got near the pocket.. Poor old Dom.. I'm not saying he would have won this match, but 11 - 5 overnight is a big difference to 10-6..

I must confess I was initially a little puzzled by the dislike for Trump, but I'm starting to sympathise with those opinions a little more now.

He seldom has anything positive or complimentary to say about other players, or so it seems to me.

sometimes they ask the players to wait if say they are near the start of a frame to give the audience the view
not often
usually they do wait for end of frame

Have they always raised the curtain halfway through a frame or is it a recent thing? I always thought in years gone by that they waited until a frame had finished.

They often do wait for the end of a frame but they generally do it at some point between players' turns, especially if it's relatively early in the frame.

So Hawkins has completed the session against Dale 10 - 5. A large mountain to climb.

Dale was very unlucky with a horrendous kick on the black when he nearly had the frame.

So that's just speculation - wouldn't call it "stupid", though, since I'm quite a polite person

I'm just assuming that they would be ok with each other, as I've neither seen nor heard anything that would suggest otherwise. You used speculation to conclude that they definitely don't like each other. The burden of proof is on you there.

Either way, doesn't matter and I don't care. The players personal lives aren't in my interest.

Ty tbh I hadn't done the math's myself on this,it's still a new and bound to be increasing smouldering gripe for me though.

But what about converting the venue into a 1 table one a round earlier to the quarter final stage and expanding the tournament a day or two,it's broaching on a collective hypnosis that the O'Sullivan and Trump Robertson matches are played at the same time twice,the last 8 is a big stage now this isn't 1995,personally I've missed a lot of good matches over the years because of this.
