Even more so because Eurosport has very little coverage today due to several other live sport events (always on Sundays). Very unfortunate indeed.

What a shame that the two best second round matches by a mile are scheduled at the same time. Especially when you think that last night we had Doherty-McManus and Dale-Wasley, two matches that not even I could bare to watch.

I dont buy the fact that fu is his bogey player and he would have no problems*with*murphy because he has beaten him more often than not. There is always a first time.
    But i predict 13-7 ronnie.
My fear is that out of sympathy to the younger players like judd, neil, selby, barry, etc. he may donate this title lol
cant see him donating anything to selby!
even ding, whom he has a lot of affection for (hi proclaimed 'favorite'), would have got hammered if they met in SF

fu/murphy is the only barrier to ROS appearance in final
he will sweep past SF, likely be hawkins
then it will be a war with selby/robertson, hopefully they batter each other senseless so ROS can pick up the pieces!

    TV Coverage...

Interesting comment this.. I only see Eurosport when a tournament clashes with my hols. abroad Or when I watch the very patchy Fromsport link for the Chinese tournaments. The commentary from Joe Johnson / Mike Hallett can be banal. I guess Neal Foulds will redress the balance though..

The ITV4 coverage on Haikou Open and Champion of Champions was excellent IMO. Years ago, ITV coverage made Eurosport look good.. ITV has come on in leaps and bounds, plus Alan Mcmanus in the studio was good, and it was so refreshing to hear Clive again - He's the daddy!!!

I've talked to WS about these issues, so watch this space... Lots of new opportunities and possible changes afoot..

Thanks JB. I'll try and get a closer look when he plays Selby. Not sure what the butt wood was but it was very plain. Not much in the way of fancy splices.

I know that is how things work but it's just a bummer
Kinda agree with you on this. A one-off upset from a non-seeded player doesn't weigh up to having a top-seed still in for the rest of the tournament. I would have loved seeing Ding up against the other top players.

Having said that, glad for Dominic who now has by far the weaker oppponent to face and therefore a much greater chance to go through to the next round. I'm hoping he can go far this year!

I think Fu is favorite to win, but Shaun will make it very hard for him. Ronnie can beat any of them easily if he will play like yesterday. If he will play like in the first 2 sessions against Perry, i think he would like to play against Murphy rather then Fu.
