Who ever wins this game out of Ken and Alan it will be a long match against Selby, unless Selby hammers one of them its going to be a looooong old match.

Here here...I'm really looking forward to that particular match. Have a feeling McManus vs Selby would be perfect in that regard...a tactical master class.

Judging by this frame I don't think there is much chance of it being a classic.

Really depends on your definition of a classic. For me it's a real hard fought tense battle till the very last ball (and optional a midnight finish )

Hawkins has been the more consistent of the two this
year I believe and he showed some determination in
coming back to win it.
Trump played well and Day made too many mistakes
so their next session should be interesting.
I would like to see Dale win his match as well as
Murphy and Robertson.
Some good matchups indeed.

Yeah the Beeb is pretty atrocious lately. They started well the first day...

Have to say and I have said it before...Eurosport has been on the ball with some 18 hours of live snooker per day, and covered each daily session. I can't ask for more really...very very pleased with that!

On Eurosport2 the snooker has already started, the first channel will follow shortly.

Useless! And Eurosport is still with my personal favourite...futsal Just switched over to see how far they are just in time to see one of the players pop his elbow out after slipping on the floor...he was in lots of pain...ouch. Never seen that in snooker

It's never happened. The fewest qualifiers knocked out in the first round is 1 (1983 and 1993), and 2 in 1985, 1990, 1996 and 2009.

The most common ballpark is 4, 5 or 6 seeds out in round 1.

Cheers for that, its not a bet i'll be rushing to have anytime soon.

Someone said a few weeks back they were considering having money on every seed to go through against every qualifier (about 40/1 i think they said) i thought it wasn't a good bet personally, i asked if anyone knew the last time it happened, if ever? I'd never put money on it happening because there's always an upset. Looks like your the man to tell me lol.

Poor from the BBC showing a match that was only on an hour ago, why don't they start the programme 5 minutes before its due to start live? If people wanna see this match again they can watch snooker extra tonight, putting an hour long programme on when their only going to show about half an hour live snooker seems daft to me!

Anal useless bit of info for those who like such things:

This evening's session is only the third occasion in Crucible history that all four players are qualifiers.
