    We've got:-

Ronnie vs Perry. If Ronnie can manage to stop snoring and get going today then it could get interesting.

McManus vs Doherty. I'm happy for either to win. This is one match that I'm recording and will savour at a later date.

Trump vs Day. Day should give Trump a hard game. This could be a close one.

Dale vs Wasley. I've got no idea on this one. Dale should win it on paper but that didn't work for Ding. Certainly the most interesting match today.
Indeed. I am especially looking forward to both sessions of the McManus - Doherty match...old times good times

And the conclusion of Perry - ROS should be very good as well.

Ronnie isn't quite getting the run of the balls to really turn it on, most times things are that little bit tricky position wise, a lot of bad contacts out there as well for both players. Hard to call how it will finish but whoever gets the run usually wins for no matter how good you are or can be you need it.
Selby proved that yesterday, 88% potting accuracy yet won comfortably against Carter who didn't get the run despite potting well.

Yes I think had the match finished yesterday then Perry would have been a strong favourite, less time to think about the situation. Now he has had the night to think about things, he could very well be feeling more nervous today, whereas Ronnie tends to save his best stuff in the final sessions of matches. Still though I wouldn't like to bet on the outcome, Ronnie hasn't shown enough form for me so far to think that he can suddenly turn it on. If Perry plays the way he has done so far this match I think he will win.

He looked up for it against Hull in the first round, and if he wasn't interested he'd have thrown in the towel already against Perry.
Simple fact of the matter is, Perry has outplayed him in every department. Apart from the last frame of the session, he has controlled this match. Now they are getting closer to the winning line its going to be purely about bottle, its still 50/50 for me, but Perry will rue losing that last frame yesterday.

I agree, i still think Ronnie will win purely because i think Perry will freeze the nearer he gets to winning, saying that i could see Ronnie winning every frame today just because he can.

Perry has played very solid and kept his composure well
and I would like to see him win as ROS doesnt appear
to be playing well for whatever reason.
Hoping to see Trump and Hawkins continue thru to the
next stage as well as Doherty and Dale.
Lots of great snooker coming I am sure.

Sorry to veer of topic, but does anyone know the name of the first song that plays on that World Championship montage they run on the red button between sessions?

One of the songs is this, but it's the other one I'm after.

BTW: Who is really supporting this nice guy Joe Perry without dissing ROS? Anyone?
Me. Ronnie can produce some magical snooker, so much so that after his 147 against Ding in the Welsh Open final, I came on here and declared him 'snooker's savior'.

But, his mind-set doesn't seem right this year and with him gone it would make for a very open and very exciting second week.

Well in that case, and in my opinion, you have no right to call yourself a snooker fan. Presuming you consider yourself to be one in the first place, of course.
