    Nothing wrong with how Perry is playing, he is playing the way he knows best to beat the opponent in front of him. He's not doing a Selby where he is turning down shots or trying to slow the play down or generally getting into the head of his opponent, this is just solid match play snooker. The frames have been quick which dispels the myth that he is playing negative or boring snooker.

    For me I called it last night to my mate, I could tell from the first frame that Ronnie was gonna lose this. Obviously its still not over but parts of his game have been off since his first round match, his long potting and safety is not up to the same standards he has produced for the last few seasons and I wonder whether this is the start of his decline due to age. Reminds me a lot of how John Higgins is playing this last few years, well off from their normal standard and they don't know how to adapt their game when certain parts are not as strong as they used to be.

    This frame is a monster now after all that's happened.

    Perry's a lucky boy there. Always the way - leave the red over the pocket but snooker behind the colour. Perry has had the run by far - with the exception of when he potted the pink earlier on.

    It's interesting because it looks like ROS is going home though. If this was Perry vs Fu with the same standard, I don't think it'd entertain many people.

    Jesus and there's another terrible shot. Anyone remember their match at the UK where Perry frustrated ROS in the same way, so much so that ROS just walked off after missing a shot?

    @Rich

    There's still Murphy left. He's good to watch.

    If Ronnie loses this, I won't be watching any more of the top half!

    I would argue that McManus has been far from dull for the most of this tournament so far.

    Parts of his game against Higgins he was world class

    Great break from Perry there to make it 9-6. Come on Joe, one more for today!

    This next frame is a must win for ROS. 10-6 or 9-7.
    I was thinking the same. Coupled with Selby earlier, and McManus on the other table, there's been a few sleep-inducing players on show today...

    Now on to the McManus vs Doherty match, which I'm really looking forward to.

    Btw @BBC...please bring back our Hazel!

    I'd like to assure all snooker fans worldwide that Hazel is alive and well....I saw her at breakfast this morning in The Mercure chatting to JV..
