Wazza looks a decent player from what i've seen so far, first time i've seen him play.

Bingham has had a decent season however he was way off
today and its nice to see Doherty win a match altho I did
expect Bingham to have an easy win.
Not real interested in Burnett and Perry match.

On his day. He's a very strong match player and a great break builder. A seasoned campaigner. I'm not surprised he is beating a poorly playing Perry.

Perry is on the verge of finding himself in trouble as well, he really needs to make it 5-4 here...

Really pleased for Crafty Ken good solid performance which should give him confidence for next round, nice to see one of the older lads doing well.........hard to believe it was 1997 when he won it, time flies

Well done Ken! Bingham wasn't up to par, but Ken was very tenacious to come through in the end starting at 3-0 down. Great to see Ken back at The Crucible.

Some players just don't like morning starts that's a fact and Bingham suffered because of it.

Nice win for Ken, he played well yesterday and if you look at the frame score from 0-3 down he won 10-2.

Knew I should have put a covering bet on him before play started today, Bingham lossing cost me my all seeds bet and one of my covering smaller bets...

Need a few more underdogs to win now and I might still be lucky.

I really didn't expect Bingham to play that poorly. This looked like the quarter where all four seeds could have played their best snooker of the season, but Bingham certainly didn't, and Carter didn't get much of a lead after the first session either. It will be interesting to see how Selby and Higgins play.

That was Bingham's second 1st round defeat as a seeded player in three years. He lost to an in-form Hendry in 2012, and now to another "old-timer". Doherty didn't play that well himself, but seemed to be getting better towards the end of the match. Interestingly, he has a pretty bad record against McManus, but a pretty good one against Higgins, having beaten him in six of their last eight major matches.

If Higgins go through, I would expect Doherty to beat Higgins like Hendry and Davis did. Higgins has started to make a habit of losing to older, resurgent players in the last 16 of every even-numbered year.

(I'm talking bollocks by the way.)
