so he's trying to play aggressive off the pack safeties but it's now playing into selby's hands to mop up the balls

I still think Ronnie will win. I can't believe that Selby can continue to win frames playing negative, containing snooker as the finish line gets closer, and I can't believe the balls will continue to run against Ronnie when he gets in. At some point surely Selby will have to win some frames in one visit, and he missed a fair few against Roberson when this was required.

What rubbish. Have you ever played snooker? Went for every shot? If every shot was a double get down wonder round the table and lay a snooker then maybe yes.

+1 Selby will happily snooker an opponent even if he has a shot on, it's awful to watch at least O'Sullivan will attack the game.

There is a definite trend here O'Sullivan breaks off and get's it safe, Selby has the option to play off the pack in to baulk again but chooses the ball of the side rail dump shot, starting the tactical frame that he love's.

Well my bet on Selby earlier today at 5.2 to 1 looks quite good. Pays £62 for £10 bet, and I can even take £27 profit now if I want it given it's on the betfair exchange. Hmmm, decisions. Any thoughts on what I should do? Gut feel is leave it the way the match is going.

I think that is the stuff of conspiracy theorists. Anyone can cough at an inopportune time. Selby could have got back up off the shot as the cough happened at least a second before he delivered the cue.

Hendry used to play in tournaments when people were saying miss whilst he was on the shot and it never put him off!

I watched Hendry v Matthew Stevens years ago at the crucible. We were in front row and 2 rows behind us were all Stevens' supporters shouting 'go on my lovely...' and other Welsh-isms...Hendry just glared at them and carried on.. It was priceless!!

Luck does play an integral part of the game and when one player seems to get it you can gaurantee the other will get nothing but bad luck. People often say luck evens itself out but I'd love them to watch that session and prove it based on those 4 frames alone!

Well what an absolutely brilliant and mesmerising session that was from Mark Selby!

Selby went for every shot, played absolutely spot on safety and snookers, and had Ros on the ropes from the start.

Haven't seen such a brilliant session of tough match play snooker for a long while...under the most extreme pressure.
