"One of the biggest shocks, ever!" indeed. After the year that Ding has had, I really don't know that there could have been any 1st Round shocker this year that would have been bigger.
GREAT snookering from him to try to claw back into it... but kudos to Wasley on slithering out of those tight spots!!

Loss for words really...what an intense finish that was. Sad for Ding, he battled so hard getting those snookers in the end. But many congrats to Wasley...the way he hold himself together was just exceptional for a first-timer. Man...how am I supposed to go to sleep now and get up in a mere 5 hours for work. But it was worth it! Wow what an evening of snooker.

Please. Whoever won, won. There's no denying that. I'm just saying I didn't like this guy's conduct on the previous flukes he got. I mean seriously? Urging flukes to roll in and smirking to your opponent? Your clutching on to straws.

Luck and fluke aren't big enough of words to sum this up. In a word, Ding got seriously Wasley'd.
Well well well. That's two of my favorite players already gone. I badly need Robertson and Higgins to do big runs otherwise no interest, it's gonna be a walkover for Ronnie

Not that I want to sour the excitement of that snooker, but can I ask what people's thoughts were on that touching/not touching black situation. The ref was very clear and certain the black had moved, but those two millimeters meant Ding could play off the cushion with side to get to the red.
I'm a huge Ding fan and as I've already said gutted to see him out, but can you imagine the reaction from a certain member here if that situation had been Selby?
Anyway, all totally academic now.Last edited by Billy; 21 April 2014, 11:13 PM."Kryten, isn't it round about this time of year that your head goes back to the lab for retuning?"

Wow how many final frame deciders are we going to get! Disappointed with Ding had high hopes with a clash with Ronald Mcdonald in the semi's! Ah well C'mon Mark Allen you're due another run here...Don't let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning...

Absolutely gutted......the only guy able to stop ROS is out.....argh! And losing on an outrageous fluke is always tough to swallow
Kudos to Wasley though who played so well.
We already can pencil a 6th title for Ronnie....Ton Praram III Series 1 | 58" 18.4oz 9.4mm | ash shaft + 4 splices of Brazilian Rosewood | Grand Cue medium tips
