I called it yesterday, that frame that Perry managed to lose to go 10-6 overnight was probably the turning point in the end. Fair play to Ronnie though, the best session he has produced in his career possibly, certainly under pressure anyway. Fantastic match and drama, just hope the rest of the last 16 matches can live up to that, probably asking too much though!

I think he honestly thought. Okay. He's had his fun now. Time to kill of the match.

Boring as he is, I feel sorry for him. Not sure what more he could do though.

I'm really impressed by Ronnie's mindset the last couple of seasons though. Imagine a match like this 3 or 4 years ago, no way he would have won back then.
Murphy vs. Fu will be very interesting now. I think that Fu could get pretty close to beating Ronnie on a good day, not so sure about Shaun...

Well, what can you say. That was an excellent match and a valiant effort from Joe, but he just fell short at the end. Can't say ROS wasn't put under any pressure in that one, and fair dues he came up with the goods when it most mattered without really getting into 3rd gear. Looks like it's going to take something very special to stop him again this year.
