    d) Ebdon's 12 break. Not even Selby could drag it that long.

I also think Ronnie's 5 minute max is untouchable.

That's already gone. Neil Robertson took over 7 minutes to make a break of 7 in the decider of his match against Marco Fu in the World Open!

          • Actually thinking about it, there were probably a lot of slower players in the 80's. Hmmm.....

              • Really hopeful for Alan and Dominic today, I am maybe the only person out there that would love for that to be the final.

What's the record for longest professional snooker career before winning your maiden title?

(Probably Fred Davis or someone in the 40's / 50s that got beat by Joe I expect, but how about since the John pulman era? Dennis Taylor maybe?)

                    • No smiles for the introduction from the players, it just got serious.

                      • worrying signs already for McManus, he hit the wrong red on a safety earlier and was lucky to catch another red thin enough to get the white back into baulk. And now has missed a red trying to hit it thin from just 5 inches away. Don't know whether the efforts to get this far have caught up with him but this match has the making of a whitewash already IMO.

Me as well...however I also like Selby to come through. Should be a good tight&tactical match between Mark and Alan. Looking forward to this one especially.

edit : so far pretty scrappy. But a long way to go...
