i know whose the worst. The guy who does commentary on British Eurosport coverage, who is that ?
1. Clive Everton - the Daddy of all commentators, sadly dropped by TWI (production co that produced snooker coverage for BBC, but still does some Sky and ITV tournaments)
2. John Virgo - Always whitty and knowledgeable - was the best combo with Clive. Some great stories.
3. Stephen Hendry - is best when partnered with JV.
4. Willie Thorne - his analysis is pretty good.
5. Terry Griffiths - Genuine top bloke, really understands the mental side of the game.
6. Steve Davis - he's quite listenable.
Parrott is OK. Ken Doherty likewise, but neither of these two get on my list.
Dennis uses far too many cliche's for me. Particularly "he's one of the nicest lads you could ever wish to meet..." This really grates on me and he says it about everyone!!! So he doesn't make the list either, sorry Dennis.
The only one on Eurosport who is any good is Phil Yates.. Joe Johnson and Mike Hallett are very poor.
The absolute worst ever was the Welsh bloke - John Evans, who knew absolutely nothing about snooker, and couldn't even speak English properly... "35 points left on table..." On THE table FFS! He was useless, god knows why BBC Wales used to inflict him on the viewing public???

Ronnie is still sleeping but Shaun still can not beat him....."There has only ever been Alex Higgins, myself and now Ronnie O'sullivan who play the game the way it should be played with such excitement - I know the fans love it this way" - Jimmy White
