  • 10:8 is hard to believe and even harder to understand.

    • A big mistake that got punished the way it should be.

I think you should be declared as the biggest Ronnie hater on TSF, lol.

Couldn't agree more. For anyone who felt that Selby wasn't having much run of things you have to take into account the amount of times that Ronnie has been unlucky is splitting the pack which has resulted in scrappy frames playing into Selby's hands.

Unless Ronnie gets a bit more run when opening up the pack this match is going to be a scrap and there will only be 1 winner. Unfortunately luck will more than play its part in the outcome of this years WC.

          Ronnie's my favourite player....though that doesn't mean I think he'll win.

The issue is I don't remember you ever thinking he'll win. Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway, people are allowed to think however they wish to, of course. It just sounded like jinxing gibberish, so, I was irritated. Don't mind me.

                • ROS has definitely not had luck going into packs.

I thought he'd lose to Perry once he was 10-7 (?) down and was concerned when Murphy should have gone 3-0 up, but aside from that ROS has been relatively safe, to me at least. Apologies, anyway.

                  • Another lenghty frame on cards already.

                    Definitely my misinterpretation, then!

                    • Is it me or is Ronnie playing a bit too safe,it looks like he is trying to beat selby at his own game rather than playing his own.

                      • That plant there from Selby is where I don't understand the logic of his game. He plays a risky plant, probably a 7/10 chance of potting it and yet doesn't commit to getting on a colour as he played the white near the baulk cushion.

This is why I cannot like his style of play, its negative to the extreme.

This is exactly what I think, if he doesn't start playing like his usual self Selby could possibly take over the lead, and from there it will only get worst because Ronnie will "wanna go home"

I am not watching, stuck at work, but from you've just said, it makes perfect sense to play the cue ball safe if the plant was not certain?

Earlier on maybe. Today he's been fine. In fact he was offensive in the first frame. Went into the pack in the first frame and got nothing and the same just happened in this one.

But there was definitely a period where Selby dragged him down into a scrappy match.

                              • Selby again with his old stuff....checking position after position when the shot is more than obvious....
