I'm not a fan of his style of play but I do admire he total commitment to the game and his ability on the table. Well done Selby. You deserved it.

Ahhhhh I forgot just how much I LOATHE the ending. Selby won the match 10 minutes ago and the program has finished.

In football, tennis, boxing, rugby and cricket (probably the big 5 in the UK), we have a big post-match program, showing the events, talking points, what it means for both sides, an overall review of the game + what comes next and so on. It makes it all look so much better.

What happens in snooker? "Congrats to Selby, now it's time for Hairy Bikers".

What an amazing performance in that final session from Mark Selby. I'm so happy for him. Most exciting final we've had since at least 2011 that's for sure.

I hope the Ronnie fans can take their idol as an example and be gracious in defeat, although I fear we will recieve the same old 'Selby is boring' comments.

No but dings still a better player, solid breakbuilder, attacking safeties none of this clipping reds thin to guarantee a safe shot, rolling into the pack constantly.
Unfortunately the guy pushing is always the one who ends up playing careless snooker! Always to be the defender and strike when you see an opening
