AT2 (Asian Tour Event Two) Cancelled

the tour. I am not sure whether this was the
Haikou tournament or not. Anyone know?

Asian Tour Event Two

Following discussions with the promoter of 2014 Asian Tour event two, World Snooker announces that unfortunately the event will not take place, due to a range of issues that cannot be resolved within the short timescale. The tournament was due to run from August 26 to 30.

this has nothing to do with haikou i don't even know where it was suppose to be staged but i think the fact that the 6 Reds bollocks in Thailand was between this event and the shanghai masters was a problem.

It is worrying when many of the events listed on the World Snooker "Full Calendar" are either "tbc" or that some aspect of the details are "tbc".

It is very strange as its usually quite up to date
and informative. Havint the AT2 cancelled isnt
the usual either. Hopefully everything will get
finalized and updated.

as the remaining two AT events are still "tbc", makes you wonder what stage the negotiations with promoters, venues, etc, may be at?

Isn't it to be the something in Thailand? I Know the 6 reds are in thailand in September. (What is TBC? the is a Snooker Venue called TBC in thailand)

the 6-reds is still not listed with venue, maybe inline with what occurred last years (riots, coup, etc).
Also the PTC Grand Final is still not listed with venue, currently Thailand as well.

as I wouldnt want to go there myself. Sad.

Why? I was there 3 times and it was very nice and special.

Riots and a coup doesnt sound safe to me. I prefer
safe and stable thanks.

Has anyone heard what is happening with the
Asian Tour Events as World Snooker still hasnt
listed anything as of yet. They have listed the
6 Reds as follows:
The tournament runs from September 1 to 6 at the Montien Riverside Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. The draw and format will be available soon.
