I want to see Ding v Judd in next year's World Championship final
A win from either of these players will help the sport take yet another leap forward. Ding winning would make the asian market explode and Judd winning could really help get a lot more youngsters into the game
Ultimately i want to see Ronnie match but not exceed Hendry's 7 world titles. If Ronnie does exceed hendry's 7 and would also exceed his total centuries and probably every other Hendry record, it would relegate Hendry down to basically nothing (relatively) and Hendry doesn't deserve thatLast edited by peterpackage; 10 November 2014, 02:52 PM.

If the participants deliver, in whatever sport you are watching, it will sell itself, like last nights Champion Of Champions final, and indeed the whole tournament did. Nothing whatsoever to do with ITV, everything to do with Trump and O'Sullivan and the rest of the boys involved. If the tournament was crap and Selby won a boring final nobody would be talking about how good McManus was in the commentary box.
By the way, why not ITV1 or 2 so that I can watch it on my widescreen tv and not resort to my pc. I live in an area where I can't get a signal from the main transmitter and get less than half the Freeview channels, ITV 3 & 4 aren't available to me yet ITV1 +1 and Channel 4+1 are

Also. I think Ronnie is the best player who ever picked up a cue and if you ask all the other previous world champions they would say the same. Ronnie in the Masters when he beat Walden and yesterday in the first session against Judd was just about the best snooker I have ever seen. Turning potting and position into a art form.

Think for yourself is all I'm saying. I actually don't like listening to commentary on any sport that I watch and will mute the tv and listen to music while watching live snooker rather than be distracted from my own point of view. Watching Ronnie flowing while listening to Pink Floyd is a surreal experience.

Personally, I used the earpieces sparingly these days, but I used to enjoy the anecdotes and reminiscences, as well as professional insight into the shots being played. I've never picked up a cue in my life, so I'm often clueless as to why a shot was played in a particular way(check side etc) so the commentary can often explain certain things.
Test Match Special is a prime example of commentary done well - I have no interest in cricket but they transform the experience into something I actually quite like.

My only problem with the earpieces is how the crowd chuckle at every slightly humorous comment, which must annoy the players somewhat.
I love the post-match analysis, and anyone who doesn't has a simple choice...change the channel.

I dont always use the sound when watching but with ITV
I did occassionally listen to the comments which I found
quite good. Its whatever you prefer in my opinion. If I
knew everything about snooker or the players or matches
I wouldnt need to but I dont.
